Following recent media reports, we would like to clarify the following:
On 31 July 2025, an event occurred involving Passportscan, the system we use to read identity documents;
Due to the platform’s technical characteristics, a bulk download of data is not possible. The figures circulated regarding the number of records allegedly taken therefore do not appear plausible; to date, we have no evidence that any of our guests’ personal data has actually been taken;
All competent authorities were promptly informed (the Police Headquarters/Questura, the Postal Police, and the Italian Data Protection Authority – Garante);
We have implemented and further strengthened the security measures already in place to prevent similar events from occurring again.
Our Official Website and the booking system available on it are safe, were not affected by the event, and are fully operational.
